There’s nothing like a family owned business, one where knowledge and reputation are passed down generation to generation. Encinitas Coin and Jewelry is a prime example of this dynamic trend. For 31 years the store has remained in the same location on the corner of S Coast Highway and E St. The current owner is Michael Bass who was taught the worth of investing in valuable coins and authentic jewelry by his father. Passing down the same tradition, Michael’s three sons also work in the store part-time. The store originated with a large amount of valuable coins, but over the years the mass appeal of gold and silver had taken over. Now, Encinitas Coin & Jewelry has a multi faceted collection of items that they have accumulated over the 31 years of being in business. The store is filled predominately with gold, silver, cameos, rare coins and diverse jewelry. The cameos are made out of carved shell, stone, or red coral and turned into beautiful rings, brooches and necklaces dating back to the turn of the century!
The store’s slogan is “unique, antique & estate jewelry, diamonds, gems, rare coins, precious metals, sterling-ware”. Some of the rare pieces that the store prides itself on a silver full finger crayfish ring and an interesting clock from Indonesia. Encinitas Coin & Jewelry has a multi faceted collection of items that they have accumulated over the 31 years of being in business.
Anyone can find something that fits his or her personality because there is such a great selection. Not only can you purchase items from Encinitas Coin & Jewelry, but you can also bring items from the outside to sell. The reputation of this three-decade, family business is reason enough to take a stroll into Encinitas Coin & Jewelry to see just what you might find!
